Summary
This site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. It stores a small amount of information in your browser so that the site assistant works and your display preference is remembered. Our analytics stores nothing in your browser.
Most of this is kept in your browser's local storage or session storage, not in cookies. These work in a similar way, so we describe them here.
What is stored
Needed for the site assistant
- Your current conversation. Kept in session storage so the conversation is still there as you move between pages. It is removed when you close the tab.
- A random session identifier. Kept in session storage so that messages from one conversation are recorded together. It is removed when you close the tab.
- A marker that you have opened the assistant. Kept in local storage so that the launcher button does not draw attention to itself on every visit. It stays until you clear your browser's site data.
These are only used if the assistant loads, and they do not identify you personally.
Display preference
- Your choice of light or dark mode. Kept in local storage when you use the toggle in the navigation bar, so the site looks the same on your next visit. It stays until you clear your browser's site data.
Analytics
We use PostHog to count certain actions on the site, such as a chat message being sent. It is set up to keep nothing in your browser: no cookie and no identifier in local storage. It therefore cannot tell that two visits came from the same person.
What is not stored
- No advertising or social media cookies.
- No cookies that follow you to other websites.
How to remove it
You can clear everything this site has stored through your browser's settings, usually under "Privacy" or "Site data". The site will continue to work; the assistant will simply start a new conversation.
Most browsers also let you block storage for a particular site. If you block it for this site, the pages will still load, but the assistant may not keep your conversation between pages.
